We are in the process of planning a bit of a facelift for the public Jive Training and Support Resources to make it easier to navigate, share with, and learn from your peers. But first, we want to know why you choose not to make your support cases public (for those of you who DO make them public, thank you!).
We're interested in understanding where there's any confusion, misconceptions, or "other" that prevents you from sharing your support cases with your peers.
Let us know, and we'll work to make the approprate changes.
Two weeks into my new role as the Jive Communities Program Manager - and one of those weeks spent in Boston at Enterprise 2.0 Conference - I'm strolling through our community places to get a feel for what needs some love and attention. We've got a wee bit of a wild garden in here, to say the least, what with the cobbler's children not having any shoes for the past few years since the most excellent Dawn Foster moved on from Jive.
As a result, I've The specified item was not found., and have taken some action items to clean up out-of-date information, and implement some uniformity into widget placement across all places. I've also found some hot and cold spots in terms of member participation. This will help focus our engagement tactics over the coming months.
As with any Jive customer who's implemented sophisticated customizations within their Jive SBS platform, care must be taken to test any new version to make sure the customizations still function properly and that new functionality is ready to be utilized. That's why we'll be upgrading the Jive Community (Say "goodbye" to Jivespace and Supportal! as Jivespace) to 4.5.x around the end of August, after we make sure the Jive Support Community (formerly known as Supportal) functions properly on that release, among our other customizations.

Based on feedback from many of you, our Jive community members, we've made some changes to reduce any confusion that may have occurred in the past, and to better solidify the Jive brand across all of our web properties (a best practice).

Jivespace is now Jive Community
Supportal is now Jive Support Community
Over the coming months, expect to see more changes, tweaks and modifications to better serve this community. Stay tuned!
