    This document contains explanations of what the various license warnings in your Jive instance mean and the steps you can take to resolve them.

     

    The main thing to remember is that when the license warning is in Yellow there is no suspension of service(s). Warnings in Pink indicate a service has been suspended.

     

    License-related banner warnings are system admin-facing only, end users should not see these warnings.

     

     

     

    Warning: "The system license has been expired since..."

    What the warning looks like:

    What effect does it have?

    Your system license is currently expired. You still have access to the site, only system admins see this warning.

    What steps are needed to fix it?

    • Check for an updated license in the My Jive Licenses app.
    • Contact your Jive Account Representative.
    • Create a case in your My Jive Group.

     

    Warning: "There are licensed modules which have expired."

    What the warning looks like:

    What effect does it have?

    Your module entitlement is currently expired. You still have access to the module and only system admins see this warning.

    What steps are needed to fix it?

    • Check for an updated license in the My Jive Licenses app.
    • Contact your Jive Account Representative.
    • Create a case in your My Jive Group

     

    Warning: "Main has been suspended."

    What the warning looks like:

    What effect does it have?

    Only System Admins have access to the site. No end user access. End users will see Jive Lockout Message

    What steps are needed to fix it?

    • Check for an updated license in the My Jive Licenses app.
    • Contact your Jive Account Representative.
    • Create a case in your My Jive Group

     

    Warning: "There are licensed modules which have been suspended due to license expiration."

    What the warning looks like:

    What effect does it have?

    Your module entitlement is currently expired. Your access to this module has been restricted

    What steps are needed to fix it?

    • Check for an updated license in the My Jive Licenses app.
    • Contact your Jive Account Representative.
    • Create a case in your My Jive Group

     

    Warning: "License Report needs to be submitted."

    What the warning looks like:

    Jive License Information Warning:

    What effect does it have?

    This warning has no effect on your service. However, a license report must be submitted by the date indicated to avoid any potential issues with your service.

    What steps are needed to fix it?

    1. Navigate to Admin Console > System > License Information > Manual Reporting & Confirmation:
    2. Download License Report
    3. Upload License Report file and get a License Confirmation Key from Jive.
    4. Paste the License Confirmation Key returned from upload in the License Confirmation area.
    5. Click "Confirm"

     

    Warning: "Jive has been suspended."

    What the warning looks like:

    What effect does it have?

    Your license has been suspended due to lack of license report within the acceptable time period. Your site is only available to site admins.

    What steps are needed to fix it?

    1. Navigate to Admin Console > System > License Information > Manual Reporting & Confirmation:
    2. Download License Report
    3. Upload License Report file and get a License Confirmation Key from Jive.
    4. Paste the License Confirmation Key returned from upload in the License Confirmation area.
    5. Click "Confirm"
