    Summary

     

    If you are seeing issues with the Gamification system and you have an open case with Jive Support, then the Support team may request some additional technical information from you to help aid the investigation and move the case forward.

     

    The purpose of this document is to define the steps you may need to go through to gather the information that Jive Support is requesting.

    Details

     

    Support may ask you for a specific URL of an API call that your browser is loading to retrieve data from the Gamification Bunchball system.  Jive Support may need to ask you for this URL so that they can better understand the nature of the issue.  The process of getting this API call URL follows these steps based on which browser you're using

     

    Steps for Chrome

    1. Open the developer console by going to View > Tools > Developer Tools
    2. Click the Network Tab in the Developer Tools panel
    3. Refresh the Jive page that has the Gamification related issue
    4. Watch the list of requests in the left panel populate
    5. Find the requests that are made to solutions.nitro.bunchball.net
      1. Note, there may be multiple requests made to this on each page load. Be sure to include each in your support case
    6. For each request, right click the row and click "Copy Link Address"
    7. Paste the address to your support case for the support engineer to review.

     

    The URL Address should look something like this:

    Steps for Internet Explorer

    1. Go to Tools > F12 developer tools (or press F12 on your keyboard) to open the developer tools
    2. Click the Network Tab in the Developer Tools panel
    3. Click "Start capturing"
    4. Refresh the Jive page that has the Gamification related issue
    5. Watch the list of requests in the left panel populate
    6. Find the requests that are made to solutions.nitro.bunchball.net
      1. Note, there may be multiple requests made to this on each page load. Be sure to include each in your support case
    7. For each request, right click the row and click "Copy URL
