Join Apple's Customer Systems team as Senior Software Architect to help build innovative customer support applications leveraging collaborative and social technologies. This team builds the leading edge solutions that have helped keep Apple #1 in customer support for eleven years in a row. Candidate should have a strong background in web technologies with hands-on proficiency in Java, J2EE, Weblogic, Coherence and Oracle. Shall have hands-on design and implementation experience of large-scale mission critical internet and mobile applications. Shall have hands-on design and implementation experience using collaborative and social platforms to deliver customer facing solutions using Jive Software.

Experience architecting and implementing customer facing collaborative and social solutions
Hands-on experience with Jive plug-in development and customization a plus Hands-on experience with Eclipse, Xcode, UNIX, SCM, UML, and object-oriented development methodologies Strong knowledge of concurrency, scalability and fault tolerant designs Able to analyze business requirements and architect efficient solutions Solid knowledge of applications performance improvement techniques and caching solutions Experience with build, deployment, testing & performance measurement tools; Web and Application Servers - Weblogic preferred Must be able to brainstorm and communicate technology ideas and issues with peers and IT management Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills
Key responsibilities include: • Architect innovative solutions while playing a hands-on design and development role to deliver products in a highly integrated environment • Lead challenging and fast paced projects supporting Apple's business by delivering creative solutions with new technologies in the collaborative and social domains • Evaluate and develop tools to monitor system health, performance and deployment • Work with project managers and technical teams in a cross-functional environment, to implement quality products that meet the business goals • Lead technical developers; Own and review deliverables for accuracy, quality, application performance and completeness • Instrument and implement top class secure coding practices for web applications • Analyze capacity requirements for production systems to scale the applications • Have a holistic view and ownership of the application solution and its integrations, covering the various aspects of SDLC
Bachelor of Science in CS or equivalent + 10 years of related experience.
