How to restore the Content and Places links in the header navigation after the Jive Cloud 2015.3 upgrade

Version 2

You probably noticed that Content and Places aren't in the top navigation bar anymore after upgrading to Jive Cloud 2015.3.

These changes are a part of a larger set of navigational and News feature changes in 2015.3. You can read more about these changes at All About the News Feature

There are two ways to workaround this change in behavior:

    1. Using the menu under your avatar, navigate to Your Content and Your Places. The default browse view shows content you created and places you own, but you can change to filters to see content and places around the community.

    2. A community manager can also update the theme of your site to re-add "Places" and "Content" links to your main navigation bar.

If you edit your theme in Jive Cloud you can go to Advanced > Custom Links and check "Custom links enabled."

You will then see a white plus ( + ) symbol added to the right side of the navigation bar. You can click this to add links like "Content" or "Places".
