Version 1

    May not be news to some people but thought I would share it.

    We got a lot of requests to join externally accessible/private groups. But the default message template doesn't contain a link to your Jive inbox to action it. So a quick extra line with a link to the inbox makes so much easier for Group owners to go to their inbox. Be careful about locales though, you might have to create multiple templates. It's a simple change but makes a huge difference to users by being able to click to their Jive inbox from a mail.

    The template is located in Jive Admin Console > System > Settings > Message Templates > Request to Join A Group Notification

    Edit both plain text and HTML if required. Add your own text.

    Here is HTML as an example:

    <p style='color: #666666; margin-bottom: 20px; font-size: 14px; line-height: 20px; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;'>

    This request can be viewed in your <strong>

    <a href="https://[Your Community]/inbox">[Your Community] inbox</a></strong> and will remain visible until the request has been approved, denied, or <strong>${requestor}</strong> cancels the request.
