Version 4

Jive Daily can be integrated through the AppConfig protocol into mobile device management (MDM) solution providers, including MobileIron, AirWatch, and BlackBerry. Such integrations allow employing MDM security policies with the use of specific Jive Daily parameters. Here you can find details about Jive Daily for iOS integrations with MobileIron and AirWatch by using AppConfig.

Note that integration with Blackberry security solutions is possible with the use of Appdome. For more information about this integration, see Integrating Jive Daily for iOS with MDM solutions. For more information about other distribution options, see Jive Daily Enterprise Distribution Overview.

    What is AppConfig?

AppConfig is a standard approach for app configuration and management introduced by the AppConfig Community, a group of leading EMM providers and app developers. AppConfig provides an easy way to configure mobile enterprise applications with any of the EMM providers listed on the AppConfig Community portal.

    Integration through AppConfig overview

Generally, integrating Jive Daily into an MDM solution requires importing the Jive Daily bundle into your MDM provider console, configuring security policies, and then distributing the updated app. You can find the details on integrations with Mobileron and AirWatch in the sections below.

If you need to add any additional customization, for example, if you want to re-brand the app, first you need to customize the app and then import it into the MDM solution. Such customizations require signing the updated app. For more information, see Signing Jive Daily for iOS.
