    Getting Started

To get started with the TweetRiver plugin, there are 2 System Properties (System > Management > System Properties in the Admin Console) you should be aware of.

    • tweetRiverPlugin.widgets.enabled - Used to turn on/off the TweetRiver Widgets.  default: true
    • tweetRiverPlugin.widgets.restricted - Used to lock down access to specific containers.  default: true
      • When true, you will need to set the same property (tweetRiverPlugin.widgets.restricted) to (true) as a Property on the intended container(s).  You may find the use of the Admin Essentials Plugin helpful for targetting specific Social Groups and Projects.
      • When false, the Widget will appear everywhere.

Note:  The reason this plugin exists, is because the Javascript in the TweetRiver JS Feed tends to break the Edit-Time experience in the HTML Widget in Jive SBS 4.5.x.  It primarily has to do with the way the Widget polls TweetRiver.  By wrapping in a Widget...we can control when the poll happens.

    TweetRiver JavaScript Feed Widget

Performs a single poll without refreshing to display the TweetRiver feed.

    TweetRiver JSON Feed Widget

Performs a poll, with refresh options...including a manual Widget Refresh.
