IMG_3309.jpgJive was invited by our customer, Trinity Health to attend the annual Alliance of Independent Academic Medical Centers (AIAMC) Conference this week in Tucson, AZ.  I was the lucky one who was given the opportunity yesterday to hear Dr. Peter Coggan and Debi Kellogg from Trinity Health speak about how they are using Jive for their medical residency program (see Trinity Health: Enabling Collaboration to Improve Health)

Dr. Coggan began the presentation by explaining that the day after he started on the job, Trinity announced the merger with Catholic Healthcare East, essentially doubling the size of the organization overnight. Trinity takes on 1,800 medical residence each year across 32 hospitals across the country. What he quickly realized is that they had no way to connect the various medical residency programs. He said that Jive has given them the ability to connect the programs and the residents together, share knowledge and best practices in a way that was not possible before.

Debi Kellogg then proceeded to do a live demo of Trinity's site. The first words out of her mouth were, "Jive is a great, great collaboration tool, it is so simple to use." She then explained their three goals with their site.

  1. Continuous Learning
  2. Connect and share to improve patient care
  3. Real time collaboration and problem solving

IMG_3311.jpgThe presentation was very well received. During the Q&A session the audience was very engaged with question ranging from how much IT support was required, to cost.

If you want to learn more about this innovative use case - please watch Amy Castillo presentation from JiveWorld16 How do you engage physician residents in social collaboration and informal learning across 28 teaching hospitals?

Big thank you to the Trinity Team for presenting their use case at the AIAMC conference and inviting Jive along...
