Community type: (For example: internal/employee, external/customer, both)
Primarily Internal, but also relevant scenario for External (in some cases)
Pertains to what feature? (Poll, discussion, system administration, design, widgets, tiles, etc.)
Users / User Administration
Software version: (For example: 7.0, 8.0.1, cloud)
This idea is to capture the sentiment that there is need to have an Administration Interface to take 2 users and merge them into a single user. Typically this is a result of a change in the source system for User Accounts. This feature should auto-resolve all content that is created by the first User...and merge it into the second.

something like this =)
Gap and benefits (optional):
When a person changes their legal name and it impacts their email address...this can cause many SSO solutions to generate a second record in Jive. This alienates customers from their existing content and requires that IT do manual shifting of data to correct the situation. It is not always easy to undo these changes, and in some cases Admins need to file support cases to undo. During this time, the user is unable to engage in existing discussions or new ones as it will eventually abandon those conversations to the dead user once the switch back occurs.
Having a process to reconcile two users after the fact and retaining attribute is definitely a common ask.
