Analyitics for Email Notification Views and Click Thrus

Many of our members consume community information via email notifications. They are able to follow spaces and groups, receive the information they need via email, and don't necessarily need to take action by logging into the site and triggering a view count. Because notifications are such a big part of the community experience, we need to be able to track (at minimum) basic email metrics from these notifications, including open rates and click thrus.


My guess is, there are significantly more people consuming information via email than via the community UI -- and especially now that we've enabled anonymous access with our community -- this is a missed opportunity to demonstrate value to our leadership.
