For some reason I thought there was going to be a merge option with Jive 5.  I often want to branch topics into their own topic but when doing so you need the thread in "threaded" view but if a thread has over 200 replies it defaults to flat. Sometimes people reply by email and their topic is related to the original post and not to the off-topic post they replied to.. When branch a thread to keep my community organized I want to be able to select what posts I want to be branched off.

Also sometimes there are multiple similar threads that need to be merged. Though you can lock a thread it would be much more effective if you could select threads and merge them. There would need to be an option to either select the oldest thread as the primary thread or have an option to update the subject whichever thread you choose as the primary and then force that same subject change on all the replies so that people know which discussion that merge relates to. Otherwise you can have one new thread that has multiple different subjects.
