Many users in our community are asking me the same question: Can we create a task from the Outlook Jive Create menu or convert an email to a task? I think sometimes emails received can result in a task for a project, so it would be helpful to provide an additional option to create tasks. In general, it would be ideal to have all the content types available in the drop down, especially Tasks and Ideas. We often receive emails from customers suggesting an improvement, so converting that to an Idea would save us a lot of time. In addition, questions have frequently come up around syncing the Jive Tasks with a user's Outlook Calendar. My improvement suggestions are then:

  1. Ability to create a Task from Outlook or convert an email to a Task
  2. Ability to create an Idea from Outlook or convert an email to an Idea
  3. Ability to indicate in user preferences in Jive if tasks assigned to your user should be sync'd with your Outlook Calendar; Alternatively, Tasks could also be sync'd with Outlook Tasks with the additional functionality of completing the Jive task if it was marked complete in Outlook and vice versa
