Re: Welcome to the Southeast User Group! Please introduce yourself.
almitchell Jan 4, 2012 10:42 AM (in response to Ryan Rutan)I met many of you at the Atlanta event and joined the community shortly after the event. Most of you know Suzanne O'Brien, and she is moving to a great new role as a Product Director of one of Allscripts' large clinical product. This is a great new role for Suzanne...congratulations Suzanne. She will continue to be engaged with Jive (ClientConnect) as she will be a great user advocate and will continue to push innovative use of collaboration and ClientConnect with our Clients.
I am developing a new team to help support Jive/ClientConnect and will be engaging those managers into this community, as they will be deeply engaged in the day to day operations and new and exciting projects. Kris Pratico is the new Operations Manager and I will introduce the new On-line Community Manager once we have completed recruitment/hiring.
Topic ideas we would be willing to discuss or help contribute.
- Swarming- A trial project that we are using for Support discussions and topics to collaborate quickly to solve problems
- Providing product documentation to the Client Community
- Lessons learned and challenges in community interaction, how we are guiding positive and guiding the community to address negative conversations (this one we would love to open up for broader discussion)

TommyRyan Jan 11, 2012 7:54 AM (in response to Ryan Rutan)Excited to see this user group forming. I am with a company called ThreeWill who is an Atlanta Jive Partner. Our company partnered with Jive to build the SharePoint Integration for Jive. Let us know if there is any questions you have about the integration between Jive and SharePoint and we would be happy to field the question or point you in the right direction. Note that dannyryan and Kirk Puffenberger from ThreeWill are in this group also.
Looking forward to seeing how we can help each other in this community!

vinjones Feb 16, 2012 9:41 AM (in response to Ryan Rutan)Hello, all! I am in Huntsville, AL. I am a consultant to NASA here at MSFC and to GSFC in Maryland (as well as others). My role with MSFC is as the Social Strategist. We just had our official 1-yr anniversary since launch there. Although I have been using Jive since 2007ish, NASA is just getting their feet wet.
I moved from Portland (Land of Jive) about 2.5 year ago to be closer to NASA and LOVE it in the South!
Sure hope to be able to meet up sometime with some of you. Any of you going to the E2.0 conference in June?

I'm Jive's Director of Platform & Ecosystem. That translates roughly to mean that I help people be successful building integrations with Jive (apps, REST, whatever). I've had the pleasure to meet some of you in person already and I can't wait to meet more of you. If you have not heard about it already, we are working to get a Southeast Region Meetup & "Unconference" in NC organized. It would be great if you can join us and participate.

Re: Welcome to the Southeast Regional Group! Please introduce yourself.
brian.steinberg Feb 21, 2013 1:34 PM (in response to Ryan Rutan)Hi Everyone. I am Brian Steinberg and the new Georgia Territory Manager. I bring a passion for "Operational Social Networks", and the transformational impact they can deliver to an organization. Prior to joining Jive, I spent a few years at Salesforce.com supporting a Fortune 10 Company as well as a few years at Lithium Technologies. I bring a unique perspective and experience to SCRM, and the Internal vs External Community Conversation (IMHO it is not about either/or, but rather both. Even more impactful, there is a multiplier effect when you reach the intersection of Internal, External, Partner/Channel, and Machine collaboration).
Anyway...I am looking forward to meeting the local Georgia community members... and learning more about your Jive journey.

Re: Welcome to the Southeast Regional Group! Please introduce yourself.
johnbec Mar 6, 2013 2:51 PM (in response to Ryan Rutan)Good afternoon! My name is John Becker. I very much look forward to participating in this group.
I work with a great group of people in Palm Harbor, Florida known as the Phenix Energy Group. I am the Chief Governance Officer and as such am responsible for all security, compliance and governance issues, as well as helping to conduct performance management related business for the group. We are just getting going with Jive on a trial basis (for the past two weeks), and so I not only wanted to join the SE Group today, but also want to check with people in the know in the SE Group concerning what process we need to follow to set up a users group at Phenix (?).
We are a green field operation that is exploding with Jive talk, chatter, and generalized excitement, and will be exploding with tremendous activity in a wide variety of other ways over the next couple of weeks. So online collaboration, project management facilitation, process design and mapping, equipment acquisition, etc. and much more are the order of the day!
Might anyone out there in Jive land be so kind as to show me the way to starting up our own Jive Users' Group at Phenix?
-
Re: Welcome to the Southeast Regional Group! Please introduce yourself.
russell.jordak Mar 7, 2013 4:07 AM (in response to johnbec)John Becker as part of moving forward with Jive Software, we will be recommending several Professional Service offerings to help plan and ensure your success. We typically kick-off with a strategy session to define the "wide" and "deep" use cases focusing on the business outcomes desired. To keep the momentum going, the Year One program works in three phases; 1) prepares for an effective launch, 2) track key metrics/refines processes where needed, and 3) measures the success against business objectives/expands into additional growth areas. This process has worked well for many existing Jive customers and will get your team off to a fast and successful start!
-
Re: Welcome to the Southeast Regional Group! Please introduce yourself.
johnbec Mar 7, 2013 6:06 AM (in response to russell.jordak)Sounds like a well thought out strategy, @Russ_Jordak. Thanks for taking the time early on to describe those proven Jive approaches to a successful launch! We will look forward to working closely with you to plan for and launch those sorts of efforts. We're also planning to establish a Phenix Users Group to assist everyone with the cross-pollination of ideas, best practices, and engaging them in the Jive culture. Does that make sense to you?
-
Re: Welcome to the Southeast Regional Group! Please introduce yourself.
russell.jordak Mar 7, 2013 7:02 AM (in response to johnbec)Absolutely it does. When you describe your User Group, it sounds like you are focused on internal/partners for that membership, right? That is definitely something Jive will work with you to establish.
-
Re: Welcome to the Southeast Regional Group! Please introduce yourself.
johnbec Mar 7, 2013 7:26 AM (in response to russell.jordak)Exactly Please give me a call to talk about that when you have some time ... Thanks, Russ
