    Workaround for company calendar of events?

      How do people provide Jive users with a simple calendar of upcoming events? I have just read the unresolved clamoring for better calendars in https://community.jivesoftware.com/ideas/1396 and https://community.jivesoftware.com/ideas/1308. I am looking for a work-around plan that I can do now, because our community users will not accept "Wait for the next release of Jive" as an answer to their calendar needs. We can use SharePoint, or Confluence, or something in Re: Jive and the enterprise online ecosystem to support calendars. We run Jive 5 hosted and we have Events Module, FYI.


      I would like to support

      • Numerous departments and teams want ability to create their own sets of events. This is similar to how Events Module already allows creation of events. But I also want to support non-social events that are FYIs without all the RSVP trappings (as mentioned in both Calendars: Jive, Confluence/JIRA, and SharePoint and https://community.jivesoftware.com/ideas/1396#comment-76242)
      • Numerous departments and teams want ability to see their events in list or calendar format. This is similar to "my calendar" view of the Events Module; but I want it on the overview page of a place


      Perhaps we use SharePoint calendars and see if we can view them with iframes in Jive HTML widgets on the relevant place overview pages? Just thinking out loud about things that I can do now. Thanks for feedback and suggestions!
