similar problem with searching for PMP, a familiar term in business circles that Jive's standard English dictionary makes a suggestion for.
I believe that is possible to address by Customizing the Spelling Dictionary
That's an old document -- hasn't been updated in over 5 years. Has anything thing changed? Is there a visual interface for editing the dictionary?
Hi Sarah - In Jive 6 and newer our recommendation in these scenarios has been to set the following system property, which will simply disable the "Did you mean" recommendations:
jive.search.did_you_mean.minimum = 0
This has not been tested against older versions like Jive 4.5 - I would recommend setting this and testing on a UAT environment first.
Argh! I've had the same problem: can you NOT mark your OWN answer as correct to someone ELSE's question? If not as a matter of technical limitation, then as a matter of good practice. (really, how are you the judge of someone else's question?)
I also find it hard to believe that the prescribed practice is to simply turn the whole feature off.
