Unfortunately, I'm standing in for the Producteev team today while they work on the migration process. I'm unfamiliar with the previous feature, so cant comment on its existence. Our product team will be circling back around once they have completed the migration and answering each of these questions.
My personal opinion on the matter, if the button still exists and 404's, then it might be related to the migration, but that is just a hunch.
Since the whole structure of Producteev changed to fit with our news apps and API all the links changed too.
If try to access to a task through and old link you will get a 404, sorry for that.
Unfortunately the share button does not exist anymore, and we do not plan to bring it back.
Thank you for your time.
Thanks for your feedback.
We can change the way of working from now but wouldn't it be possible to get a kind of comparison table for those past urls in your 404 catching rules?
- Network 1: You and your client
- Network 2: You and your subcontractors
- Network 3: You and your team
Obviously you can get everybody in the same task to discuss anything... To get the most of your team, it's easier to be able to paste the url of related task in other networks.
Same in any circumstance where you need to make 2 task "connected".
That's what we did from the start of this functionality and even before when we started on V1! I can't imagine having to go through EACH and EVERY task we to change this links references...
Any ray of positivism would be welcome
The first of these updates has been provided here:
I do not see this listed in the TODO's as Ilan mentioned, so I would imagine that this issue is not on the immediate roadmap; however, I will defer to Ilan/Bruno for an official statement.
Hope that provides some guidance.
You can still share the URLs of your tasks, but no short URL. Does that make sense?
Thanks for your reply.
Yes it does for cross-reference we've start doing since the release of V4 but not for cross-reference made before V4.
For each and every one of those, internal/external to producteev, the old_short_url no longer work which make this all cross reference system obsolete.
(Kill our productivity and will require countless time to adjust)
Moving forward in positive mindset, I guess somehow those old_short_url were referring to a certain task_ID that you could actually match and use for redirection purpose.
Therefore my question to Ryan was to have a kind of conversion table to redirect those old_short_url to new_url and avoid us to modify all our online/offline reccords, reports, ... any other chanels/media actually.
It could even be a redirect link to click on the 404.... I don't mind too much as long as we finally get there.
Looking forward to your feedback.
