Re: Seeking social collaboration for healthcare
erickoopmans Dec 13, 2013 2:01 PM (in response to tammychu)Hey Tammy,
I think we should fire this group back up.
We are going through an organization wide implementation of Jive here at Spectrum Health to replace our sharepoint intranet. We have a ton of work to do and would be cool to share some of our industry specific notes etc.

tammychu Dec 15, 2013 6:19 PM (in response to erickoopmans)Hi Eric, I second it! I'm new to Jive and social collaboration in general but can see the potential that it offers in the healthcare arena. Your initiative to replace your sharepoint intranet is certainly ambitious. My focus is on a pilot for clinical knowledge management. We're integrating it with sp for a document repository and hope Jive will offer an easy and effective way for clinicians to interact. Would love to compare notes.

Re: Seeking social collaboration for healthcare
erickoopmans Dec 17, 2013 8:31 AM (in response to tammychu)For sure. We did a pilot for about a year within our IS HR and our marketing groups first. Then we got some great backers in our Clinical Quality groups from our CMIO for using Jive as a place to collaborate. Those leaders in clinical quality have been helping us drive the clinical side along on this ride which is going pretty well. I'll post some of our unique issues in healthcare here as we spend the next 12 months rolling out and org wide Jive instance.

tammychu Dec 17, 2013 7:30 PM (in response to erickoopmans)Hey Eric, I'd be interested in learning more about your experiences gained in the pilot and clinical quality. Would you be ok if I gave you a call maybe in the first week of Jan?

communitylisa Jan 31, 2014 2:04 PM (in response to tammychu)Tammy,
We use Jive for a gated/private community for Blue Cross customers, mostly health & wellness forums with a blog. I'd like to connect with others who are using Jive in a similar way. We're getting ready to upgrade to 7.0 and we're very excited about the changes. I don't know if this is the right group for me, because I'm mostly interested in clients that use the software in a similar way, for forums. But posting here just in case and will look around the community to see if I can find some other like-minded folk, too.
Cheers,
Lisa

tammychu Feb 25, 2014 8:11 AM (in response to communitylisa)Hi Lisa, Thanks for the note. Apologize for the belated response (long vacations will do that!) We're getting ready to do a pilot launch with v6 with an on-prem install. It turns out that our use case is rather unique in that it is more document centric. I'd like to hear how your upgrade to v7 goes, assessing it after our launch is on our radar.

Re: Seeking social collaboration for healthcare
allanlewis67 Feb 18, 2014 9:23 PM (in response to tammychu)Stumbled on a reference to Mayo Clinic being a social media leader. This article says Mayo ".... employees have the choice between collaborating in Jive or in Yammer, while posting to Mayo Clinic's internal news platform." Another search result showed that Jive Inc. listed Mayo among top healthcare industry clients in its 2011 SEC 10-K (Annual Rpt) form. Jive's 2012 10-K lists these as representative of Jive's top Healthcare clients: Aetna, Allscripts, Cerner, Kaiser Permanente & United Health Group.
If only my boss wasn't keeping me so busy
, I could troll around using Google and locate some people at these organizations to reach out to.

tammychu Feb 25, 2014 8:17 AM (in response to allanlewis67)Interesting info. I was able to troll around KP and find that it's being used more on the provider side of the house but no clinical content usage. Tell your boss that that she needs to let up on you once an a while ; )
