just play with the system property skin.default.hideFullNamesInMentions and set it to true or false :-)

Re: @Mention showing usernames instead of full names
ltsudmann May 31, 2014 1:34 PM (in response to sullivanch)You have referenced the profil visibility settings, This should not have anything todo how names will be shown in a mention. Have you checked if the last and first name is set correct after SSO enabling? Did you check also the table jiveuser? Maybe the user data will copied different as before?
Last but not least this could be a logical error inside jive. We have checked it several times in a ldap enabled login without SSO.
Did you open a support case and got an answer?
Regards,
Lars

I have the same break. See https://community.jivesoftware.com/thread/267035 (limited visibility) and now raising a case.

Re: @Mention showing usernames instead of full names
jessicavallentine Jun 6, 2014 6:42 AM (in response to John Schwiller)We had the exact same problem and I've followed your technique and it's working again. Ours was already set to 'yes' but I switched to 'no' then to 'yes' again and we're back with full names rather than usernames.
Thank you John Schwiller!!!

asidorin Jul 7, 2014 6:13 AM (in response to bcarpenter@reliaslearning.com)Hello, everybody!
I have the same issue. Now I switched back to Full Names. But all the mentions are still usernames. Was it the same? Or they just need time? Or any ideas how to fix it? =)

Did you switch it from 'Yes' to 'No' and then back to 'Yes'? There wasn't a delay for me, it fixed immediately (and for Jessica).

hiI have the same issue, I want to display the full name, not the user name as sometimes the user names are quite different than the full name making it confusing.
I followed the instructions above and went to 'show full name in user mentions' switched it from 'yes' to 'no' and back to 'yes' and it's still not working
