Re: JA on iPad
chad.wight Jun 11, 2014 7:08 PM (in response to brian.gil)iOS8 is to allow app extensions, so my understanding is that JIVE will be enabled to develop add-on integration with Safari, and perhaps other app/features in iOS.
Can I bother you for perspective on whether this is going to be explored actively?
Pushing content from feed readers (feedly) or safari is unmanageable in iOS, something I enjoyed with yammer, utilizing ifttt recipes.
If not add-on/extension development, can we at least get a bookmarklet solution, like those available for evernote or delicious through safari favorites (links below)?
JIVE is great software, but the iOS interactions are very lacking for those wanting to push web content into JIVE discussion.
Thanks for your consideration..
Chad

This is something we've just started looking into ourselves, given the new things announced for iOS8. I can't make any definitive statements yet, as we literally just started talking about it this week, but we agree that the potential is great so we're going to be taking a look at what we can do and when. I welcome feedback and suggestions.

Re: JA on iPad
chad.wight Jun 11, 2014 8:49 PM (in response to mavital)Outstanding!
In terms of suggestions, perhaps a bookmarklet (good) or ifttt support (good/better) could be the shortest path to this type of streamlined integration, prior to the iOS8 release/support (best). Is this potentially feasible?

I can't intelligently say what's feasible at this juncture, we just haven't spent enough time exploring options here. But it's absolutely on my to-do list to delve into more deeply, and see what there is to see here.

chad.wight Jun 18, 2014 6:33 AM (in response to mavital)Excellent, thank you.
Is there a JIRA project page that we can follow (or a JIRA public facing project) to see what development integrations are being pursued for this topical area as they get mapped out, or is this discussion chain the best spot to check for detail/updates?

Re: JA on iPad
sali Nov 6, 2014 6:45 PM (in response to mavital)Hello Mor Avital any updates on whether JA will be available on mobile as an add-on/extension or even bookmarklet. We want users to be able to share content from their mobile apps (chrome/safari/feedly/evernote etc) to Jive. We also have a number of android power users who are keen to get this functionality.
Any information would be much appreciated! Thanks!-

This is something we're definitely interested in. The Jive Anywhere engineers are currently working on other major projects, but it's in our plans to look into support for mobile browsers as we absolutely see the value in it. Once we have more concrete plans, we will share further.

carolineperhirin Jun 29, 2015 9:24 AM (in response to mavital)Hello Mor Avital,
A lot of our top managers are used to navigate from their mobile devices ie. iPads most of the time. That would be a great incentive for them to use the tool!
Any news on that topic since last November?
Kind regards,
Caroline

Hi Caroline,
This is definitely something we're interested in doing, but we've been really hard at work delivering a whole slew of other things that relied on the Jive Anywhere technology, so this got pushed down the list just a little. But I'll mention Yoav Derazon and Amir Leshem here, so they're aware of the continued customer interest in this.
Thanks,
Mor
