Re: issue in installing an app on a local instance jive 7
Ryan Rutan Jul 23, 2014 12:06 AM (in response to karthikodc)It looks like everything is setup correctly. I would potentially grab a sample app.xml from our GitHub repo:
jiveapps/examples/location-demo at master · jivesoftware/jiveapps · GitHub
and make sure that it is no syntactically errant. From what you've provided, I see no issue with your process.

Robert Hanson Jul 23, 2014 11:52 AM (in response to karthikodc)Make sure that your local Jive is using a commercial license key (and not set to evaluation), and is in Developer mode. Without the license key it will look like it installed properly, but won't work.

Re: issue in installing an app on a local instance jive 7
Ryan Rutan Aug 27, 2014 6:57 AM (in response to abhidwi)If you go to Admin Console > Add-Ons ... are all the indicators green?
If any of them are red, I would try deleting the system properties:
jiveInstanceId
jive.appmarket.id
Delete DevConsole App/Uninstall from your profile.
and restart the instance and see if the indicators go all green? If so, then you should be able to use the Apps Menu ...reinstall DevConsole and try again.
This very odd behavior, so apologies for the back and forth.

Everything goes fine till this, when I install a app through dev console it shows "Application has been created for URL:'http://localhost/jcma/app.xml'" but app is not installed. Please find below screenshots and suggest me.

Re: issue in installing an app on a local instance jive 7
Ryan Rutan Aug 29, 2014 7:23 AM (in response to karthikodc)So, I've seen an issue in the past that you might be running into ... where hosting the app on the local machine causes some weird navigation with firewall services internally on the box. Can you try putting the app on a separate box, and reference is by hostname / IP and see if that works? Everything is looking correct on your environment, which makes me think that it is something lower in the stack.

aron.racho Aug 29, 2014 8:19 AM (in response to karthikodc)- I assume you hare checking the box "Install this app onto my Quick Lanucher"
- Are there any stack traces in the Jive application log you can share? Especially soon after you try installing the app?
- If you are using Chrome or Firefox, are there any errors in the console log in the browser when you try installing the app?
