You will have to vote the idea multiple times with multiple user accounts.
Best way is, create one admin account.
And then using REST api in "Run AS" mode, you can run the vote api as any other user without their credentials.
This way with just one account credentials you can vote on behalf of multiple users on an idea.
Thanks Pawan! I was afraid that was going to be the only way, not optimal but it will get the job done.
Does your old app's data have the data on who voted the ideas?
Coz as jive does show who voted, you can replicated voters to that level from old app to jive.
That is what we are working on now
Can I use run-as feature for this without having to authenticate with a token?
I followed the steps for "Using Run-As with a Jive Add-On" in https://community.jivesoftware.com/docs/DOC-110343#comment-2891846
I completed till step 3 and I was able to provide full-access to my add-on and have added runasstratergy in my definition.json.
I am now stuck at Step 4!
I am not sure that run-as without any authentication is possible or not(Is there a secure way for this). Also is full-access for the add-on helpful in any way?
Any suggestions will be helpful.
