Hi Ryan Rutan
Can you assist with the following question?
A vendor I am working with said they are getting error messages about invalid redirect_urls.
They stated it looks like I haven’t registered two call backs or redirect urls as they requested.
Here is there error message
It looks like a remote service wants access to your Jive account.
There seems to be a problem. Some information provided by the remote service is missing or invalid: invalid_redirect_uri. Please contact an administrator for more information.
Here is their original request to register two urls as valid redirect urls.
I need them to register the following callback URLs:
http://localhost:3000/oath2/callback <—— for testing only. Can be removed as we get closer to prod.
CAn you help me to register their 2 URLs.
I would check out this document:
Also, for the redirectURL you need to use a publicly addressable resource, not localhost....as this would resolve to the localhost of the Jive server. If you need to use services like Ngrok: Warp Speed for Your Integration Iterations or Using Nitrous.IO with the Jive Node SDK or Jive Cloud9 Getting Started Guide to help you get this publicly addressable URL, then that is an option.
That appears to be your issue (and possibly a type-o in the channelrocket.com/oaUth2/callback
Hope that helps.
Redirect url should be https
Can I speak with you on a short call tomorrow between 2 - 4 ET?
I'd like to install a call back URL for a vendor to test then remove and add another for production.
Please forward me your number
Trevor,Apologies, but I am slammed today, so I won't be able to do a call. I did; however, an update on what you are trying to accomplish through back channels yesterday, and just to close the loop here. I would recommend creating a second add-on for your TEST/UAT instance...and then uninstall that once the testing is complete. There is no way to add multiple redirect_url's to a single Add-on/clientID.Hope that helps,RR
If not able to attend a call. Can you provide specific steps to add/register a call back URL?
https://developer.jivesoftware.com/quickstart/oauth - go here and make a different Add-On with your new callback URL. Install it and use it instead of your other one. If all is good, then remove this new one...and start using the other one.Does that help?
