Permissions for limiting external group members ability to see profiles

I set up an external group, to allow some of my staff and our external clients to collaborate.  My staff has filled out their profile with an internal focus (i.e. somewhat casual photos, mobile number, etc.)  When we have an external group, we'd like our external clients NOT be able to see those things.  Is there a way to permission access or profiles to show a certain way for internal users, and another way for external users?  Even if it's just to hide certain fields from the external users?
