Re: Is there a way to access the CSS of the page a custom add-on is housed in?
jgoldhammer Mar 3, 2019 11:25 PM (in response to james1.hicks)James,
on-premise or Cloud? If Cloud, there is no option because of the security settings that apps are running in a separate domain.
Thanks

james1.hicks Mar 4, 2019 7:22 AM (in response to jgoldhammer)Yeah we are on Cloud and that is what we are running into. Not sure if you went to Aurea Experience but there was a session that I believe a Canadian Bank presented that had them manipulate the parent CSS. I thought they were Cloud, since most of the presentations were Cloud, but they might have been on-premise Hosted.

Re: Is there a way to access the CSS of the page a custom add-on is housed in?
jgoldhammer Mar 4, 2019 11:54 AM (in response to james1.hicks)AFAIK there is no possibilty doing this besides a browser addon solution which modifies the css when a user visites the site, but that would require everyone using a browser with this addon installed to visit your jive instance...
I wish Aurea would allow to inject a css on the top page where a customer could manage the overridden css. We have implemented that in other products and this works great. Of course, the customer has to check the css file when Jive will upgrade the UI, but this would require a minimal effort and customers would have a powerful tool...

james1.hicks Mar 4, 2019 12:49 PM (in response to jgoldhammer)I agree, especially if the CSS being overridden isn't the core of their UI, like the upper right section with the avatar. Being able to modify everything else would allow for unique and impact user experiences.
