Re: CRM.Phone: Support of Microsoft Teams-Integration already planned?
Rob HammondJan 30, 2019 4:30 AM (in response to robert.lechner@qualysoft.com)
Hi Robert,
Generally speaking, we have plans in 2019 to work on multiple integrations, including taking a look at our overall integration strategy with Microsoft. I don't have any definitive timeframe at this point, but Microsoft is at the top of the list.
In the meantime, one thing to consider is that Jive's Collaboration Solution (which covers use cases for multichannel communication) is available for free through the Aurea Software Library. Someone from the Jive team could provide an overview, a demonstration, and dive into how we can help you further!
In addition, I'm currently working on improving the ACRM & Jive integration for 2019. So, I would be interested in joining a Jive discussion to see how I might shape some of our upcoming ACRM features to solve your problems better! Send me a private message and I will facilitate a meeting with the Jive team and myself to talk more!
Best,
-Rob

Hello Gabor Horvath,
We are still working on the overall integration strategy with Microsoft.
In the short term, as suggested, if you are looking for a collaborative tool, Jive would the best solution.
Best regards.

gabor.horvath Nov 4, 2019 12:21 AM (in response to mael.forner@aurea.com)Hi Mael,
this sounds like a "do no expect it in the next (6) months", correct? We have to give a definite answer to the customer. It would say, that MS Teams is not yet supported and surely will not be before mid next year. Are You OK with this?
Thanks
Gabor

Hello Gabor Horvath,
Today, ACRM is not certified for MS Teams and considering the certification process, I don't think it will be before mid next year. We have a Product Request logged about it but with no decision so far.
Best regards.

Martin Ehret Nov 4, 2019 12:25 AM (in response to mael.forner@aurea.com)Hi Mael,
Jive is not an answer for customers already using MS Teams. We need support for the office 365 package as well.
This is part of most RFPs and more and more customers are moving to Office 365 and teams.
Thanks,Martin

Hello Martin Ehret,
I had a discussion with the Product team and we consider to certify NextGen for Office 365. This means that, for now, ACRM will stay certified for Office 2019.
Rational is that ACRM is mostly an On-Premise product and so will be certified mostly for On-Premise solutions (Office 2019). NextGen will be a Cloud product and therefore will mostly be certified for Cloud solutions (Office 365).
Best regards.

erich.durner@part.de Nov 4, 2019 5:23 AM (in response to mael.forner@aurea.com)1 person found this helpfulHi Mael
we also receive requests for Office 365 from our customers.
But as I understood it, NextGen is not a migration strategy for ACRM customers.
It is intended for new customers.
So it would be immensely important to provide Office 365 for ACRM customers as well.
Regards Erich

Martin Ehret Nov 4, 2019 5:37 AM (in response to mael.forner@aurea.com)Hi,
while I understand your thoughts, I still would like to challenge this decision. We see more and more companies move to cloud in smaller steps. ERP and CRM are not the fast moving products - but Office is often seen as a first low-risk approach to gain experience with cloud products.
I am still convinced that we need this to maintain our existing customers over the next 3 to 5 years.
Thanks, Martin -

jklumpp Nov 4, 2019 5:57 AM (in response to mael.forner@aurea.com)Hello Mael,
I switch in our conversation to AureaWorks. For us it is not plausible why Aurea will not follow out suggestion. In addtion that my suggest will not cost a lot of time and no change in the software is needed. For supporting the main application of Office 365 it would be helpfull to ad this:
- Office 2019
- Office 365 (on Premise) für MS Word, MS Excel, MS Office – April Version
In addition I agree that also MS Teams Support is needed in addition to Skype for Business. More and more Customers are switching to that tool.
We have contracts for more than the next 8 years so there is a real need to support the actual used plattforms for On-Premis use. Thanks a lot,BRJörg
