I am looking to get loads of hints and tips as to how to embed Jive (Fuse in our case) into Serco as a tool which is the first thing that people open in the morning when they get into work. Hi Gia, unfortunately i didnt get to meet Sudhir.....the only thing I would say is that we need some consultants closer to home so that its easier to pick their brains on strategy and whether we are on track and making the best use of the platform.

Imran - Are you looking for remote or local contractors? If remote, we have a number of options. I am looking into your site on Jive. I am trying to get a sense of how it works, feels and how easliy employees might adopt it. As a knowledge manager in the Netherlands I am interested in creating a social network within the company I work for. I have been working on knowledge management and online collaboration/networking for a number of years now. I have not had any experience with Jive yet and would like to consider it for our plans for social networking. Are there any cases of Dutch companies using Jive? Is there any chance of Dutch being added to the language options?

Hello everyone, I'm Lindsay May, I do internal communications for Life Time Fitness. We are using Jive for deploying our first intranet! We are in the middle of soft launch and will be deploying to the entire company very soon. We love the social interaction Jive brings to the table and the fact that it promotes transparency within the company. We have received great feedback so far from our employees and are looking forward to further developments of the site.

Lindsay, I worked with Candace Knight last September to develop a strategy for Life Time Fitness' internal community, and I live in St. Paul. I also finally met Bob Stanke in person a few weeks ago!
Let me know if you'd like a copy of what we created last year, which I'm sure might be a bit out of date, but might help in some way...
Whatever you do, don't structure it according to organizational lines alone. That's the fastest way to make an employee community die, IMO. I think Candace and I discussed using Spaces for the Corporate Services areas (Communications, HR, etc.), which I've seen work well at other customers. Spaces are GREAT for facilitating the Corporate Voice to team members (employees), and Groups are fantastic for encourage team members to converse and collaborate and share with each other. For example, you can encourage each fitness location to create their own group. Then, you could create a Space as a "lobby" for each region.
Main Space: "Locations"
Then, on the overview page of the Michigan space, highlight the various Michigan location groups. You don't have to list all of them, just a few. The system surfaces similar groups to members as they browse through groups. Or, you could use a custom widget we've built for other customers - let me know if you'd like more information about it.
The Michigan leadership could use the Space to communicate to Michigan team members, and it would become the place to go for general information about Michigan locations, SOPs, etc. Team members would then use their individual location groups to collaborate within their "four walls," for example, that's where they'd innovate a SOP. Once the new SOP has been proven to work more successfully, they could "advertise" it in the Michigan region's space.
And from there, you could start highlighting SOP innovations in a completely separate SOP Space at the main level in the hierarchy.
The best thing is that it doesn't really matter where the content lives over time, as long as someone is actively working to socialize it in various areas. For example, if you find this comment useful, you can simply link to it from any other area in this community, as well as in your internal community.
