bg2dot0 Mar 17, 2011 5:23 AM (in response to gialyons)Good morning. Bruce Galinsky here from Metlife. I suspect I'll see some familiar faces from the e20 adoption council. I run the IT Knowledge Management program for Metlife. We are just starting to consider JIVE as our social tool on top of Sharepoint and getting an understanding of how JIVE might transform and hopefully mature our current KM capabilities. Look forward to sharing.

Welcome, Bruce! And we should find some time to talk. I need to understand your perspective going the other way. As you know, we have a thriving Jive community. We now have a group investigating adding Sharepoint in their end of the world. Since Ted and I just support the global Jive app, I don't get to tell them not to do it or anything. But I've got questions about why it might make sense for them to add it. And then the question will be if we have multiple Sharepoint instances, is there still a way to do the connector with Jive?

bg2dot0 Mar 17, 2011 5:57 AM (in response to tmaurer)our perspective is that we have a fairly robust sharepoint presence here. We implemented Sharepoint a few years ago to enhance our collaboration capabilities around documents. As our organization matures, and the need for social collaboration becomes more pressing, we need to look at our options. I am curious as to why you are adding Sharepoint to JIVE? Is it for more robust document management? Web Content Management? Would be happy to talk with you and Ted here, or even offline about your direction etc.

ruth_neighbors Mar 21, 2011 1:37 PM (in response to gialyons)Hi, I'm Ruth Neighbors, the user experience lead in our Global New Media corporate group at The McGraw-Hill Companies. I specialize in Intranets, and we're rolling out Jive to our entire company (early adopters in May and full rollout in July). I'm especially interested to learn how other content managers, UX specialists, etc have figured out how to rethink their Intranet home pages and how they integrated Jive into the overall Intranet experience.

I'm Jerry Escobar and am the Director of Employee Engagement here at Logitech. I've been on the pilot review of Jive for almost a year before we
went live in February. Now I'm looking for someone to help me run our internal jive community and internal communications globally.
We're based in the SF bay area. Is there a place to post job openings?

disaacs Mar 30, 2011 1:10 PM (in response to gialyons)Hello Everyone! My name is Damon and I work for one of the largest aero structure manufacturers in the world, Spirit AeroSystems. In the past four years I have managed the IT Help Desk and Incident and Problem Management, supported Corporate Human Resources as the IT CRM, managed IT Communications and managed the training for SAP implementation. I currently still hold the role for IT Communications and Org Readiness as well as the Enterprise Community Manager for our Jive Platform. I have been on the Jive site for a few months longer than we have had our platform up and running. In January 2011 we began our pilot of the Jive platform. In March 2011 we decided to continue with our adoption strategy, but remain in "pilot mode." We have 16,000 employees worldwide and we are targeting 6,000 salaried employees for the first phase of our implmentation. Of those 6,000 employees we have a 10% adoption rate as of March 31, 2011.
I enjoy being a part of this group and have learned a lot from everyone! Glad to be acquainted with all of you.
