    How Do You Describe Your Job to "Normal People"?


      I'm sure that if someone was attending a conference such as JiveWorld any person they encountered would understand what an "Enterprise Community Manager" does.  But how do you describe what you do to someone who doesn't necessarily work with "collaboration" tools?  Back when I was an intranet manager that was a term more people seemed to understand fairly well, but "collaboration tool" doesn't seem to be sticking. I'd rather not have to go on a two minute discussion that "I manage a tool that allows employees to share documents, write blocks, have online discussions...". I'd also prefer to not use the term "intranet" either.


      Any suggestions on how to crisply and cleanly describe your job to a lay person?
