gialyons Aug 4, 2011 8:23 AM (in response to ChrisKruger)Hi Chris, and welcome! We have several customers who have implemented Jive as a complement or replacement to SharePoint, and integrated with WebSphere Portal (and in some cases, Jive has replaced WebSphere Portal-based intranets).
If you're interested in connecting with and learning directly from other Jive customers, please browse and consider joining the Internal Community Managers group. Would you like me to connect you with someone here at Jive who can work with you to determine how Jive can meet your business and technological requirements?

grantc Aug 18, 2011 8:17 PM (in response to gialyons)Hi everyone I'm Grant from Auckland New Zealand and I'm the Head of Community and Resource Development for a consultancy called ON-Brand Partners. www.onbrandpartners.com Our focus is to connect people and strategy within their organisations to deliver better performance. The reason why we exist is that too many organisations have good strategy but it's failing simply because their people 'just don't get it'. This scenario is way to too but thankfully we have some very clever people, processes and tools to get it sorted.
One part of my role is to help organisations leverage all the promise that the exciting new world of social networking has to offer in building strong communication, knowledge and collaboration. A core focus now is to ensure our ON2net community (www.on2net.biz) delivers on its promise of being 'a place for people who want to create better organisations – organisations with renewed purpose where everyone is engaged, empowered and excited to deliver on its brand promise and improve performance - organisations that are ON-Brand.'
PS: fellow community members from the US - yes that is how we spell organisation

tim.zonca Aug 19, 2011 7:38 AM (in response to Julie Cardinali Brancik)Welcome Julie. Be sure to track down Todd Miller. He'll be speaking about the US Army's 150k person community. You can find out more at http://www.jivesoftware.com/jiveworld/agenda, but here's the session abstract.
Track 3:
Cutting Edge Collaboration Behind the Military Firewall
Today’s soldiers are accustomed to Web 2.0 social media applications like Facebook, Wikipedia, and Blogger, as well as media sharing sites like Flickr and YouTube. The current generation is commenting on blogs, editing wikis, making connections in social networks, and sharing and communicating with others on a global scale. This change in culture that is spreading across private industry comes in direct conflict with the military tradition of sharing with those who have a “need to know.” To combat these changes in climate the Military has created milSuite, a collection of social media applications aimed at providing secure collaboration using cutting edge capabilities.
Join this session to learn about how the Military connects over 150k people with the Jive-powered milBook, a secure professional networking capability available to the entire Department of Defense (DoD) through a users Common Access Card. The session will discuss lessons learned from working in the Military environment, how Jive is being extended to meet the demands of DoD users, and how milBook is changing the way people collaborate and share knowledge in a traditionally closed environment.
Todd Miller, Symbolic Systems, Representing PEO C3T MilTech Solutions, U.S. Army
