Re: What version of the Apache Solr used in the Jive 5.0.x?
Ryan Rutan Feb 4, 2012 6:11 PM (in response to yakimov)I meant to reply to this the other day. Looking at the Maven dependencies, I see Solr 1.4.1 referenced. Pretty sure that is it, since it was released right around the time Jive 5 came out. Is there a specific feature you were looking to leverage perhaps?

Re: What version of the Apache Solr used in the Jive 5.0.x?
yakimov Feb 5, 2012 8:47 AM (in response to Ryan Rutan)We are looking for ways to integrate Solr 3.5.0 with Jive 5.0.x. It is important for us because 3.5.0 includes support for Hunspell stemmer. Hunspell is an advanced spell checker used in the OpenOffice suite. With this we look forward to better support the Russian and other languages. Are there any plans to upgrade Solr in Jive? We are looking for a workaround, but maybe there's a simpler solution.

Re: What version of the Apache Solr used in the Jive 5.0.x?
Ryan Rutan Feb 5, 2012 1:30 PM (in response to yakimov)I've sent a note off to the engineering team that works with Search to see if they have any feedback. That should be the speediest path to the best answer. Let's give them through Monday...if not, will follow up again..Sound good?

Ryan Rutan Feb 9, 2012 8:00 AM (in response to yakimov)I haven't heard back from my main contact yet. I am waiting for the West coast to come online. Hopefully I've found the next best person, and may be able to get you some answers. Karl Rumelhart any thoughts?

Re: What version of the Apache Solr used in the Jive 5.0.x?
nigel.daley Feb 12, 2012 4:00 PM (in response to yakimov)Apologies for the delay. Yes, the Solr version is 1.4.1 in Jive 5.x. The spell checking, manifested as "Did you mean" link, is actually handled by a different package with the web application itself (not Solr). So simply upgrading Solr will not get you the behavior you desire. Sorry.

Re: What version of the Apache Solr used in the Jive 5.0.x?
yakimov Feb 13, 2012 7:57 AM (in response to nigel.daley)Yes, I understand that the search and spell check - two different parts. Dictionaries to check spelling of the Russian language does not exist in general - you used very specific components. So with Solr 3.5.0 we are trying improve search capability, not spell checking. And the question about using Solr 3.5.0 with Jive remains actual.

cusdenia Feb 6, 2012 6:22 AM (in response to yakimov)A quick look at my Jive installation suggests 1.4.1.
