Example REST API Call

Here is an example of how to get the followers of one blog:

function apiCall(url)
{
  var xhr=new XMLHttpRequest();
  xhr.open('GET',url, true);
  xhr.onload=function(e)
  {
       var data=JSON.parse(xhr.responseText.substr(xhr.responseText.indexOf("{")));
       console.log(data['followerCount']);
  };
  xhr.send();
}
apiCall("https://community.jivesoftware.com/api/core/v3/places/789921")
