    How to NOT send email notifications when publishing a NEW document

      In an effort to create a New Document and not alert the entire community of my impending creation...I think I've found a workaround.

       

      If you ever find yourself (as community manager) wanting to create a new document in your community without sending email notifications, follow these steps;

       

      1. Create your document, title, content.
      2. Click Save Draft (Do not click publish)
      3. Click Edit Document once Draft is saved
      4. Now with your Draft open you have the option to click the checkbox for "Minor edit, don't send notifications"
      5. Click Publish
