Integration of Clearspace functionality into our own pages.  How?

We wish to integrate specific functionalities of Clearspace into our own website pages that would have our specific styles applied to it (look and feel).

      1. We need to have the most recent blog posts for certain blogs integrated.

      2. We need to have the complete Blog, blog post, and Add a comment features integrated into our webpage.

It appears the Community Everywhere is only associated with Discussions.  So not sure how to handle the #1 and #2 listed above.  Do we use an Iframe or something else?

      3. Also, are comments only associated with Blogs or Documents (and NOT Discussions)?

      Thank you.

          hi Megan,

Without knowing anything about your current website (intranet or outside the firewall, Java, PHP, etc..), I can tell you that we do add recent blog posts to our various communities (this one and igniterealtime.org) using a combination of RSS and webservices (SOAP). You should be able to get the most recent blog posts feed using this URL:

          http://example.com/clearspace/blogs/feeds/posts

By default the feed should contain the entire entry body for all the posts in the feed.  The add a comment feature would be harder.

Comments are only associated with documents and blog posts: the analogous object type for discussions is a message (which is a reply to a thread).

          Cheers,

          AJ
