I am working on efforts to maximize and structure communication through our Jive community. I keep hitting my head against a wall trying to figure how to best enable internal video sharing without attaching them as files. (You must post to youtube, vimeo, etc and then link to embed a video.)
Part of the issue with the attachments route is that it undercuts the ability to quickly post/view a video (vs, say, reading a document or writing a post), something i think would greatly improve participation and comms.. Has anyone had success in a similar effort, feel like sharing bp's or insights?
I hear ya on that frustration! With Jive 5.0 and up, I believe theres a video module option that should allow for embedding video rather than linking. Also, check out INEXPO. They make a really great app that does video, live stream, web chat, etc.
Thanks for the tips! I'll definitely look into those as workarounds. Want to enable video and chat comms as they seem to be the most effective in terms of dynamic collaboration and sharing. Thanks again.
