IE 8, HTML widget, and script tag

In Jive 5.0.4, we've found that if an HTML widget has a script tag (even an empty script tag), Jive renders it in an IFRAME with a border that is visible in IE 8 using the default Jive theme. The screenshot below shows the IFRAME border. Is this expected? Is there a recommended way to not display the IFRAME border in IE 8, given that it's using the default theme?

      Thanks!
