For better or worse, most project management tools are hierarchical and do not provide any direct value to the individuals actually executing the work. Traditionally, project portfolio dashboards trump the quest for individual and team productivity improvements.
As an example, in many discussions I had at JiveWorld last week Clarity became a topic of discussion. The common thread: powerful product, but hard for most knowledge workers to get excited about using it.
So, to the question above. I'd love to hear how IT is working to maintain project visibility while adopting to new platforms (like Jive) and project collaboration solutions (like Goshido) that encourage unstructured and open collaboration and project work that constantly evolves.
