For various reasons we depend on the value of a Jive Property called 'jiveURL', which is created during the setup process. If I was a betting man, I'd say that the jiveURL value set in the admin console is something other than the IP address. To fix: login to the admin console --> system --> management --> system properties --> edit the value of jiveURL to be the IP address.
