Help debugging outgoing SMTP: clearspace does not send emails

      On clearspace 1.2,

After a migration of our clearspace server from Standalone Windows to Tomcat5+FedoraCore7, I'm having trouble getting the installation to send emails.

I've tried pointing the configs at our corporate SMTP (Exchange) and at a sendmail installation for testing. Both of these services accept mail via telnet and from SMTP no problem.

The problem: when trying to use clearspace/admin/system-emailtest.jsp the jsp seems to stall (perhaps waiting on a timeout internally?).

Here's the debug log of a session with the Exchange server.
