Bug CS-1939: Cannot edit/delete Announcement before it becomes active

      http://www.jivesoftware.com/issues/browse/CS-1939

This bug was logged by another user, but is just sitting there without any activity. Does anyone know of a workaround? I posted an announcement to go live tomorrow, thinking that I would be able to go back and edit it before the live date (or delete it).  I see no way of doing that via the end user UI or the admin console.  This is really lame.

We are running on Clearspace 1.3 still.

      Thanks.

          Hi,

The only way to workaround this is to find the announcement id of the announcement and then hack the announcement edit URL to go to this announcement.

You can find the id of your announcement by querying the jiveannounce table in the database.  The "announcementID" column is what you will want.

The URL for editting announcements looks like this:

          http://<yourdomain>/clearspace/ann-edit!input.jspa?annID=<id>

Replace <id> with the announcmentID of your announcement from the database and you should be able to get to it and edit it.

          thanks,

          Scott
