This delete request only affects the calling user, and only if you used the corresponding "login" call. There is no way to cause someone else to become logged off. Note in addition that if you are making this request from a non-browser client application, it only affects the session used by the client app, not the browser session of the user interacting with the Jive UI.
If you use the REST APIs the way they are intended (send HTTP Basic credentials on every request), there is no session, and therefore no concept of "logoff".

Basically there is a JSessionID cookie created once login. Logouff will clean it up for current logged in user. Assuming that the REST is called from same browser session used for login.
Thanks for your answers guys. I'd be forcing a user to log off from another app so it looks like I'll have to come up with a new approach .. maybe make my own service.
