Re: How do I manually assign a badge in Bunchball?
CurtisG Mar 8, 2013 6:54 PM (in response to Ted Hopton)If you are worried about people earning it just uncheck the active box, then it is manual assignment only. I'll have to look into the none selection further.

But when I uncheck the Active box it disappears. No one can earn it, apparently, since I had earned it and it vanished.

No good. It won't accept that. Besides, the issue comes down to what the Trigger is and I can't select None so there is some inaccurate trigger listed.
I guess if I wanted to do a real workaround I could create a secret group and make joining it the trigger, but that's a lot of work for this.

Another problem with the process as documented:
With the new found Userid, go back into the gamification console and navigate to the user page.
- Gamification Console > Users - enter the userid here!
But when I go there I can't enter anything on that page. The fields are grayed out and won't accept any entries. I also don't see any users listed and clicking on Update does nothing.

Screenshot helped. Got it. So, I was able to complete the mission for Tracy and me. The badge now shows up for me.

Re: How do I manually assign a badge in Bunchball?
alistair Mar 18, 2014 3:54 PM (in response to Ted Hopton)Is there ultimately an answer to this? I would like to manually apply a badge to people who have finished a training seminar we had here. There is nothing in our Jive instance that would trigger it, I just want to take the list of who attended the session and apply the badge to each one.

May be oversimplifying here, but after creating the badge, you basically find the user ids in the Jive Admin console, find them in the Bunchball console as shown above and complete the mission for each person. Let me know if you need more detail :)

Re: How do I manually assign a badge in Bunchball?
alistair Mar 18, 2014 4:36 PM (in response to Megan Truett)Working now. It seems that the mission, when created, does not show up under "available missions" for a user right away.
Thanks!

Re: How do I manually assign a badge in Bunchball?
alistair Mar 18, 2014 4:50 PM (in response to Megan Truett)Next question, if you happen to know...
I have been trying to get the callback working so that when a badge is applied, the user gets the phrase "{Username} has completed {Mission Name}" kind of thing. However, I can't find it anywhere. I think I have the settings correct, but I am suspecting that manually applied badges don't fire the callback.
Can you confirm/refute?

CurtisG Mar 18, 2014 6:58 PM (in response to alistair)Are your other badges, when completed, sending a notification into the activity stream?
