    How to create a Person in a JIVE instance using APIv3 and REST services

    ricardo.linero

      Hi to the community

      Once again i am "playing" with JIVE Rest services, they had been very useful in my customizations, but now i am having some troubles using the PERSON SERVICES for creating a new user remotely by invoking REST services.

      I am sending to this URL http://developsoft-ext.uat15.hosted.jivesoftware.com/api/core/v3/members/people/1102 this JSON message:

      {"name":{"familyName":"Payne","givenName":"Max"},"jive":{"username":"max.payne","password":"qwerty123"},"emails":[{"value":"max.payne@mymail.com","jive_label":"Email"}]}

      the content type in the header for this POST request is application/json and i am following this documentation in order to build my JAVA test code Jive REST API v3.3 → Person entity

      i do not know what i am missing, but the response from my JIVE instances is "HTTP/1.1 405 Method Not Allowed"; maybe i need to configure something else in my JIVE instances, i mean "something else" because request for documents publications are working via REST.

      Nils Heuer helped me the last time my last discussion about this topic (see: https://community.jivesoftware.com/thread/242570), hope he can help once again.

      See ya!
