Does anyone have an alternative to Jive Photo Album?

Is not that I don't like it, but our need is just to upload several images at once or create a document with a photo per each photo in a bulk file.

Has anyone developed or bought something similar?

      Thanks!

          Hello

Not sure what version you're on but we recently moved from 4.5 to 6 and the photo album now has the ability to bulk upload a zip folder full of images. - a really useful addition.

When we moved to 6, we did an evaluation of all the photo sharing capabilities in Jive.   1) The photo album plug-in sold by Jive 2) the photo image app (created during JW12) and 3) some other manual manipulation using existing features such as attached powerpoints, embedded pics in a content container and the image carousel http free code.

From what I understand, you may want to look at the Image app.  It allows you to upload a “gallery” of photos and you can reference them from a piece of content, but they don’t integrate into the platform like the way the plug in does.

From our perspective, investing in the photo album was the best way to go as pictures are so important to have in a social environment to help our people stay connected visually as well as verbally.    Many on our side feel that images would come standard versus as an add-on, but that’s a topic for a different forum for a different day.
