I am experience the exact same thing. The content disappears after a few days, which renders the email to task useless. I have been patient with all of the other downgrades, but this is one I had come to depend on. It has now been several months and Producteev continues to be a subpar application. I will be looking elsewhere.

We've been working on this, however, I have been unable to reproduce this bug. Email attachments are not recognized, however, the email body should be included within your task.
Can you let me know which email service you're using?
Like I said, I am not able to reproduce this error, so that has made troubleshooting difficult.
I have had this occur several times now. This is the most recent. We are
using google email. As you will see, emailing the task is useless. Note
that this task was created 13 days ago and you can see why I might want to
review the content for an important drill we are conducting tomorrow.
Instead of just looking at my producteev task, I had to dig it out of
email (which I luckily hadn't deleted).

Those screenshots will be extremely helpful. Let me do some troubleshooting with my Gmail Account and see if I can reproduce it for our Developers.
I appreciate your sentiments, I know this has been painful for previous Producteev users and we are working hard to make Producteev just as good, and ultimately better than before. Unfortunately, developing on a whole new platform, building from the ground up, has proven to be a change that hasn't been exactly well received.
Unfortunately, what you're seeing today is a rebuild, from the ground up, to make Producteev better in the long run, we have the same development team working on the product and they're incredibly aware of what they've built and capable of rebuilding the same features back in, and exciting new features as well. I know I cannot ask you to be patient, as Producteev users have been extremely patient while we work towards better things. I can only hope that you see value in Producteev, in the product we certainly enjoy.
While I hunt down this strangeness with Google, please let me know if there is anything further I can do for you.
BTW, attachments used to work in Producteev. Perhaps there is a way to

I am using our office Mail i.s. Lotus Notes (as well full client as well web client). Both do not work and produce blank content tasks. Find attached of the producteev/jive email I received as you updated the feed. I just forwarded it to firstname.lastname@example.org. Again. Just a header, no email content appeared in producteev.
Thank you for the screenshot. I know we're seeing inconsistent results with Gmail -- (and now, with your information, Office). I'm going to add this to my developer ticket and will follow up when I have additional information. I apologize for the inconvenience, I use Em-->Task extensively, so I understand how vital it is.
I am experiencing this exact issue on Producteev for Web. I am running Mac OS 10.8.5 and Apple Mail 6.6 (1510).
I email 20-50 tasks a day, most of which are forwarded to email@example.com.
Currently, only emails created with freshly typed text, or copy/paste text, arrive intact. Any email created or forwarded with embedded text from a previous email arrive incomplete.
I first noticed this issue a few months back; some emails arrived intact, some did not. Over time it has gone from intermittent to regular.
If there are any specific screenshots I can provide for you, please let me know and I am happy to provide whatever you need. This missing email functionality is something I very much want to help fix.

as this problem is still existing - and very annyoing - I played a bit around. Insights:
- any email, that is sent from Lotus Notes (Client oder webmail) will lead to a new, blank tasks (i.e. all content and attachment is lost)
- even if a create a new email adress on a 3rd party provider (e.g. gmail, etc.) and configure it as a pure "forward to firstname.lastname@example.org", any email that is originaly sent from a Lotus Notes web/rich client to the new email adress and then forwarded to PDTV leads again to a blank task
- any email I sent directly from the "third party adress", e.g. gmail, OS X produces a correct task with content and attachment.
So the error seems to be in the any email, that is sent from a lotus notes mail (our full company works with notes...) to PDTV. It seems that if your engine processes such an email, any error occurs, that leads to the lost content / attachment.
I would propose, that the easiest would be, if you could name my an email adress from you, where I can send a test email from lotus notes, so that you get the original mail incl. all metadata to reproduce and correct the error.
Nick Church Hi Nick, any feedback to my last post here, where I tried to identify the problem more closly. I can send you a testmail from an IBM Lotus Notes account, which will deliver you with a sample email that is not processed from your email in system. I would just need an email adresse from your techn. colleagues where to send it.
I am having the same issue but intermittently using Apple Mail (only just tried it with Mail 7.2). Some tasks are showing with the content and others without whether I forward to task@producteev or whether I Bcc on the original email.
This is a major issue as if this doesn't work so much times wasted trying to tie up which emails have been included and which haven't. I will often send a number of emails with the same subject header to potential clients with customised content.
Is there a timeline for this to be fixed please.
Same problem for me, is there an estimate time to to have this ready. Its a really important tool to have, the team is working double the time or more on re typeing everything,
Its being UN-Producteev.

It is a bit disappointing to see the last official feedback dated somewhere in the las year. Still it is unknown if this is a Producteev bug and if/how to solve the problem.
