    Clear leaderboard points

      Before the whole organisation can access our environment, we have started with a small group to set up everything. Unfortunately we have forgotten to enable the points for the leaderboard. This means that some of us will start with an advantage compared to others. Can we clear all the leaderboard points so that we can start all at 0?

          HI Christa,

           

          Unfortunately, there is no easy way to reset status points. We've filed an improvement request for this, however, it is currently being evaluated for development with no ETA.

           

          There is a work around, You can set a negative point value (equil to the number of points an individual user has) to an action (like "create a discussion") and have that user perform the action. That will zero out the points for that user, then you can reset the action's normal point value.

                  You could end up with a negative point level, so, you want to make sure to reset that particular action once your work is complete.

                      Hi,

                       

                      Just came across this discussion as we are in the same position that Christa was. We ran a month-long trial of Jive before purchasing with 24 people taking part. During the trial we just left the default status level settings so these people have accrued points. We have now purchased Jive and will be rolling out across the company shortly and would like everyone to start on 0 points. Is this still the only way to reset the status level points? This would be extremely time consuming to ensure that all 24 people have no points! Would love to know if there is any other way to clear points.

                          Hi laurenpoole - Nick Church's last post still applies here.  If you have 24 folks in the system today another method could be the following:

                          • Get the Jive ID numbers for these 24 users from the Jive Admin Console(e.g. User 1001, 1002, 1003, etc)
                          • Log into the Bunchball Console
                          • Look up each of the 24 users by their Jive User ID number
                          • Update their points to be 0 and save

                              Hi David. We don't have Bunchball or the gamification module. I am just talking about the in-built status level settings that come with Jive. You can change the different status levels and how many points each scenario is worth from the admin console under People > Settings > Status Level Settngs. However, there doesn't seem to be a way to reset the number of points people have accrued. I'm new to Jive so perhaps I'm missing something? Thanks.
