Re: Problem with granting admin access
sarah@driptech.com Oct 28, 2013 10:22 PM (in response to sarah@driptech.com)Following up on this, the problem seems to be that admins (including myself) cannot change any project settings unless they created the project. This seems to defeat the whole point of admin access. Would appreciate any suggestion for how to get around this and/or timeline to fix this issue.
Thanks,
Sarah

Thank you for reporting this. Let me reach out to the developers and see what if we can get this resolved for you. Just to clarify, you're using the webapp, yes?

nick.church Oct 30, 2013 11:47 AM (in response to sarah@driptech.com)Hi Sarah,
I'm digging further into this with my developers. Can you please let me know the other user, who has been granted admin access, so that I can take a look at their settings, too?
Nick

Re: Problem with granting admin access
sarah@driptech.com Oct 30, 2013 11:44 PM (in response to nick.church)Peter is the other user in my network that I want to have full admin access.
I also encountered this issue when granting authorization for new users to
be added to the network. It shows up only for me and not for him.

raunak Jan 8, 2014 10:54 PM (in response to nick.church)I think the Project that has been created has Access Setting as "Private" the creator of that Project may edit the Setting. Adding the "new admin" to get Access might help

Re: Problem with granting admin access
raunak Jan 8, 2014 10:56 PM (in response to nick.church)Hi Nick, I am new to Producteev but I think that an Admin does not have all rights over a network. Users may create projects privately on a Network and the admin will not be able to make changes to those Projects.
Is this a bug or am I missing something ?

Re: Problem with granting admin access
nick.church Feb 13, 2014 7:49 AM (in response to sarah@driptech.com)Hi Sarah -- Looking at your account, both you and Peter have Admin access to your network, as previously indicated.
Admin of the network still only gives you permissions over those tasks/projects that you have control over. It does not allow you to edit or delete tasks that you've not created. An admin level account allows you to Manage Users (who should be invited, or removed) but does not grant omnipotent permissions to all things in your network.

My network is facing the exact same issues as reported by Sarah. Is there any update on this. We are using Producteev on Web

Re: Problem with granting admin access
nick.church Feb 19, 2014 9:14 AM (in response to raunak)Forgive me, Raunak.
There are a couple issues listed in this thread.
Which are you experiencing, specifically?
There is no such "super admin" in Producteev, and there are no plans to add one, due to privacy concerns regarding tasks and task content.

Re: Problem with granting admin access
sarah@driptech.com Feb 19, 2014 9:40 PM (in response to nick.church)It's one thing to leave private projects private, but for one shared with
me, it's very inconvenient not being able to add other people or move tasks.
Especially if all the people using the network work for you, it's an
inconvenience to ask of us for me to ask 5 other people to add a new person
to each individual project. Think about admin access for corporate email
accounts. Or that a head of a division or company needs to continually
shift tasks and people among projects. If people want to use a personal
network for private tasks, that's fine, but as long as it's on my network,
I need to shift people and tasks as an admin.

verity Feb 12, 2014 9:53 PM (in response to sarah@driptech.com)I guess the best way is to report it to the developer itself.
