I would imagine that this support group, which is generally less technical than the developer group, would be better able to answer. But since you have not received a response there let me see if I can add some detail around what you're discussing.
First, I see your older thread is here: Jive Anywhere add-in for IE8 is creating a large iframe and covering up links
And you've provided a screenshot snippet as well of the area.
What version of Jive are you on? It would appear to either be a bit older or a custom theme has been applied.
-If it's a bit older, then it's likely that Jive Anywhere was not tested against this version and so no bug/issue has been raised. If this is a version older than 5, then it's also EOL and so there would likely not be any fix coming.
-If it's a custom theme you could start out by using a UAT or staging instance and try removing the theme, see if that backs the controls away from the Anywhere button.
The likely end result is that the theme would need to be tweaked a little bit to account for a control on the side like this for Anywhere users.
Thanks for responding. I tried responding to the email but it bounced.
I'm on the latest version of the jive add-in running on XP/IE8. I'm not sure about the themes you are referring to. I'm using the anywhere add-in that add a little white tab to the right of any website I visit. IN the example in the picture, I'm browsing to an internal LOB website. The blue area pictured will block any click in that area. So browsing to Google or whatever site has the same results.
I've read adding custom CSS to help control the size of the iframe the anywhere addin is injecting into the page. I'll play around with some other methods and verify that this issues crops up on all web sites I visit.

After a week of posting this trouble ticket and getting no response I'm reporting to my client that there is no support for IE8 on XP for the Jive Anywhere add-in. If there is an alternative way to approach Jive support, please reply with details. The developer community forum was also unresponsive. I'm assuming it's just too old a platform to garner much attention.
Questions like this, which need specific Jive Support Attention, should be created as a case in our customer's secret support space.
Additionally, unsure of which version of Jive your client is using - please see the Jive 6 Documentation for Jive Anywhere: About Jive Anywhere -- Or additional documentation about Jive-Supported products - http://docs.jivesoftware.com/
Specific Issue debugging, should be done inside a support case, rather than a support discussion. Should you not have access to our customer's secure support space, the customer can invite you.
Let me know if some of this information is helpful.
Thanks for the tip on the secret support space. I have set up a Jive account and would like to know where my support space is located. I found myself in the support forum after clicking on the support links on the main page. after logging in I end up in the community forums. The version of Jive Anywhere I have loaded is the current version. I followed these instructions: Jive Documentation
When I was on the phone with the person form Jive who called me a few days after i signed up I was also directed to the forums. If I go to the upper right of this screen, select the Help button, a list drops down. under the web site section there is a customer support link that takes me here: https://community.jivesoftware.com/community/support?noAccounts=true that looks a lot like this forum.
I believe you have a bug in your software. I'd started a thread in the support and developer forums. I've included screen shots and steps to re-produce. The only two answers I receive are to be ignored or or be told I'm posting to the wrong place. I should be creating a support "case" instead of a "discussion". I am the customer. I set up a new Jive account for my domain to test this issue. I don't see anywhere to create a case so maybe you would take the time to create a support case for this issue. The create menu has a dozen options and case is not one of them. I searched the help center and nothing shows up for "case" that is relevant. Jive 6.0 Community User Documentation
My assumption is that my client's computer that is running XP and IE8 is simply too old an OS/Browser combination to use the Jive Anywhere pluggin. I only had a finite amount of time to debug this issue and I've used that up. If you end up fixing this and want to let me know, I'm sure you can figure my email address from my trial account info. My trial will close in a few days and I'll be cut out of the forums.
