I've created a new group. After uploading a file I can delete the group with the file in it, but I cannot delete the just file.
When I create a file in Jive, it does a post request to the place. In response to that request I'm returning the following information (which should be the information about the created file)
When I try to delete the file Jive shows an "an unexpected error occurred", but I'm not seeing a request being made to the server.
Am I missing something?
I don't see any problem with the response you return for creating a file.
I need more information in order to find the problem.
It would be best if you send me the Jive logs. The last 1000 lines can be viewed in the admin console.
Please reproduce the problem before so those log lines will definitely contain the error.
If you can't, send me the your Jive url, and I will be able to extract the logs if this is a cloud instance.
We can also schedule a meeting and look at this together.
Just create a group setting "ownCloud" as the external storage, and then upload a file. At this point everything should be fine. Then try to delete the file you've uploaded.
You can delete group just fine, though.
I successfully created a group called YuvalTest2, uploaded a file called Doc1.doc and deleted it.
I uploaded another file called Doc2.doc, downloaded it and deleted it.
Afterwards I deleted the group.
All those actions worked.
Maybe there's a problem with the specific group you created the file in.
What's the name of that group ?
Can I upload a file to that group ?

I cannot delete the file in the following group: https://doritosoftware-partner58-1-essential-plus.doritosoftware.com/groups/oc-test-2
(the group is open, so you should be able to upload content there)

Ok, I understood what happened.
Since you haven't implemented the trashFile resource yet, when a user tries to delete the file in Jive, the ESF recognises that your ESP doesn’t support trashing.
So, it tries to permanently delete the file. Most users don’t have the permissions to permanently delete a file from Jive, regardless ESF.
A better message should be shown it this case, I’ll open a ticket for this.
You should implement the trashFile and untrashFile resources.
Ok, got it.
