You can do this by going to your admin console
on each user line, to the right, you will see a round green check box that says "deactivate". This will do what you desire (which is the recommended approach for users no longer in the community btw)
Is there a way we can deactivate all users in a particular user group??
We grouped users but that entire group is not active anymore so we want to de activate all users in that group.
There is no quick way out of the box to disable a set of users who belong to a group. You would need to either manually open the profiles for these users and disable them from the admin console, or you could write a custom script that uses Jive's v3 API to pull in a list of users from a specific group and disable them through API calls.
We are using Jive cloud version "Jive SBS 184.108.40.206 9c1'.
We have enabled SSO authentication to log in to jive.
Now, we need to deactivate few users. I tried deactivating users through Admin console-> people-> click on Deactivate.
However, these users are again able to login to Jive using SSO.
Could you please let me know is there any way through which we can deactivate users and they should not be able to login again .
Hi vishal parsai - If you have a federated user through SAML SSO which you want to disallow access to Jive, then you will need to update the access configuration in your SAML SSO system so they are not able to log in.
If a user logs into Jive using SAML SSO, and your SSO IDP system allows the user access, then Jive will simply let them log in.
